Bronze Electrical Valves

VALVE COMPONENT INFORMATION

Application: Power transformers, oil switches and other electrical apparatus for loading, sampling or draining coolant.

Construction: Valves are full pattern heavy duty body with a union type or inside bonnet for optimum strength. The heavy duty design provides safe margin of protection form physical damage.

Disc: Valves are furnished with a nylon or teflon disc. These materials are impervious to most coolants. Nylon offers a conformity to any irregularities that may develop in the seat and provide a leakproof shutoff. Teflon has a very high resistance to wear yet it is resilient, which enables it to conform to irregularities and provide a tight shut off.

Handwheel: Cast from high strength bronze and may be used in most conditions without concern for electrolytic action cast from CDA 844 (81-3-9) and meets Spec. ASTM-B-584. Handwheels are available in die cast aluminum alloy.
